From Hiding My Gifts to Leading From My Body
Five years ago, I knew there was more to life than what I was living. Disconnected from my body, giving my power away, stuck in a relationship that wasn't a full f🔥 yes. I had been facilitating and performing for over a decade, but I still didn't feel confident sharing my deepest gifts. So I booked a one-way flight to Guatemala, following a deep inner knowing.
What followed was a series of painful initiations:
My body screamed through excruciating sciatic pain—I could barely walk. This was my wake-up call: I was out of alignment with my purpose, disconnected from my feminine wisdom.
I poured energy into other people's dreams instead of my own, feeling undervalued and depleted, terrified to claim my own leadership.
The most profound lesson came in Nigeria. By this time, I was deep in my Temple Body Arts training with my teacher Sofiah Thom, learning to trust my body's wisdom. When I was hired to perform aerials and dance at a high-end nightclub, I crushed the performance—but when my safety was dismissed and boundaries crossed, every cell in my body screamed "NO."
The embodiment practices I'd been learning gave me the power to honor my Sacred No. I contacted the US Embassy and left. This initiation proved I could trust my body over everything else.
The Training That Transformed Everything:
For over 4 years, I immersed myself in the Temple Body Arts lineage—500+ hours of training including four in-person priestess initiations at Sofiah's retreat center in Costa Rica. I'm also ISTA-trained in Spiritual Sexual Shamanic practices, along with training in Human Potential Development Coaching, mindfulness meditation, yoga, and more.
But I also knew embodiment alone wasn't enough to share my gifts sustainably. Over the past year, I've been devoted to the Elevate business program and the last six months in the Vision Development Incubator, learning the business tools, visioning practices, and belief work to bridge embodiment with entrepreneurship.
I also hold a BA in Outdoor Adventure Leadership/Entrepreneurship and completed aerial silks teacher training—giving me both the entrepreneurial foundation and the teaching skills to hold transformational space.
These lineages helped me weave together everything I'd been learning for 15+ years—and embody the teachings in a way that transformed not just my own life, but how I hold space for others.
